Here I Photograph my son showing me all the treasures he finds using whatever camera I have on hand. DSLR, film, phone. The images aren't visually cohesive, but the storyline is. It's about bringing who you are (photographer), to the parenting table with your child. And my child is being who he is (avid collector of things to stuff in his pockets) and, so, he loves to show them to me to photograph.
It showcases each of us as independent. Mother's are often expected to give up themselves, their identity, and just be mother. But here we forget roles. My attention is elsewhere, looking at the world, as is his. He wants to pick the flower and I want to photograph it. The images are a tête-à-tête during two peoples independent wanderings.
