Hi hello

Hi hello this is me and my photo sidekick ❤️ I see some new faces and fellow artists here so I want to say hello and share a little about myself.

Kamloops is my hometown and I take way to many photos of it lol! But when you work and have a child 'staycations' and learning to love what you got/where you are is more practical - but honestly I love wandering around with my family or my fellow artist friends and shooting random cool shit we see.

I do a mixed bag of urban, environmental, landscape, minimal and portraits of my son. I use my phone, DSLR and film - whatever's on hand, don't care as long as it's fun.

My day job is in health and safety, so I also take a tonne of construction, safety signs, safety cones and barrier images lol. It is what it is.

I also make delightfully strange collage art. This came around after I had my son and experienced post partum depression and couldn't head out and take pictures. I'd sit on my computer and while my son slept in my arms I would slowly slowly make digital collages. 8yrs later and I still create and sell my weird little collages 🙌 Art really does sooth a soul.

My other obsession is books and I would love to own a cutesy bookshop one day (I've literally named it and made logos 😅), but until then I have way to many bookshelves and a busy book box at my house.

My family consists of my husband and I, our son, a pup who is the sweetest cuddlebum but is scared of everything and everyone, and a fluffy, happy, retired farmcat Duchess.

Learning to print my own images at home has helped my practice, and I print and sell locally at art fairs and Kamloops Artisan's Bazaar. Otherwise I sell images through Darkroom online.
